Young Reds seal dramatic win

Published by fiz on October 4, 2008

Liverpool U-18s recovered from two goals down to record their fifth victory in a row after goals from Dalla Valle, Ajdarevic, Ellison and Pourie saw off Wolves.

Hughie McAuley’s men went 2-0 down after just 16 minutes but the Reds managed to pull level before half-time courtesy of goals from Lauri Dalla Valle and Astrit Ajdarevic.

James Ellison scored a screamer from 25-yards on the 83rd minute for Liverpool to put the home side in the lead. Marvin Pourie’s goal in the injury time put the game beyond doubt.

It was Hughie McAuley’s fifth win in a row this season and they travel to Blackburn next week.
