Which position needs strengthening the most in the summer?

I cannot personally remember a more important summer transfer-window as the one forthcoming in just a couple of months time.
Rafa Benitez looks to be safe in his job whilst takeover talks are on-going, and a mini-rebuilding programme looks certain to begin come the end of the season.
Manchester City are said to be favourites to land Peter Crouch (pictured right), whilst Sami Hyypia and Harry Kewell (pictured left) are likely to leave unless Benitez offer’s them short-term contract extensions, so speculation is rife as per usual about who Benitez will sign during the summer months.
Trejo, Villa, Arango and Taylor are all names that could be seen on the back of Liverpool shirts next season, but which position do YOU think needs strengthening the most this summer in order for us to build a squad finally capable of bringing home #19?

Liverpool fc needs to strengthen goalkeeper. Liverpool has very good defensive and midfield work and that is why pepe is always inactive in all matches and has not much to do. I think if Shay Given is in Liverpool goal he may concede 13-17 goals a season. I suggest 1.96m tall Villa real goalkeeper Diego Lopez.In defense Liverpool must find a defender like Sami Hyypia I mean as good as Hyypia. I recommend 23year-old Per Mertesacker a German international plays for Werder Bremen.In forward Mirko Vucinic is a very good option.He is very skillful and has a good pace and also good in the air.

To Abdolhosain..No offense dude..It just that i really wantd to argue about ur last comment or so..Ur idea was good but not truly a brilliant idea for bringing back the league cup to anfield..U said we need to strengthn by bringng a goalkeeper in the squad..just only coz pepe is inactve!..For me thats a good thing dude..Its bcause our defense..Our brick red wall that makes pepe so INACTIVE..That shows our defense is very good statistically speaking..F u know what i mean..
And another point i want to argue s about bringing another unknwn player/players that i truly never heard of until just now..Critics and anti-liverpool pundits was keeping on jumping at benitez by buying unknown players which lack quality and flair until torres came in..Say gonzalez,kromkamp,pellegrino,barragan to name u a few..Wat mkes u think that benitez will and would love to buy an unknown player?..Aha
For me get rid off crouch n kuyt(not good enough),aurelio and kewell(too many injries),hypia(too old) and voronin(i just want him go=P)..Bring in david villa and lucas podolski for striking options..Bring Nemeth to play in the 1st team as well..Buy simao/quaresma and joe cole for the wings..Give insua a chance next season at leftbck..Bring bck Guthrie(he’s the next finnan) to play 4 the right bck position..And vincnt kompany at the centre bck to replace the long serving finn..
We’re not made of money like Chelsea JustAnotherRedsFan, those players would accumulate to over £70million.
The glaring problem in our new 4-2-3-1 formation is the right side of what effectively is a 4-man attack. The role Kuyt plays. We need someone here and i’d wet myself if we signed David Villa to do it - we’d be fearsome.
After that you have to look to the full-back positions for me.
basically its quite simple. we need david villa jus behind torres for 25 mil, thn we need a good right back for maybe 10 max, 4 get about left back cos aurelio is quality nd get no more injuries than any1 for tht matter like u all go on about it, and we need to buy silva from valencia so we have natural left footer nd put gessa on the right of our new formation. sell all the “ok” players like kuyt, crouch - their good but we need to real start getting rid of these average players and start getting couple of genius players insted of numbers. rotating is good but only wen u have world class quality throughout the team
i wld like to add that with that we wld have the likes of oscar tejo who we will get and babel there to put staight in - also sergio ageuro is a massive talent and we have to sign him even if its 20 mil. i dont know much about our funding though cos the yanks arent making u big profit so maybe they will wanna cut back a little
we rly need to play 4-4-2 with 2 holding midfielders. my team for next season wld be this—Reina,Rafinha,carra,agger,aurelio,babel(right),david silva(left),gerrard+masch(centre) and david villa playing off torres or other way around. total spending would be like 40 mil + we’ll get youngsters comin through and we’l get couple of other players like oscar trejo or mbia aswell. stregnth in depth aswell so we’lfinnish atleast 2nd next year. that team i have listed has no weaknesses and aurelio is quality
how can u say aurelio get injured all the time, he get no more injuries than any1 else. but we definetly 100% need villa to win the prem or atleast som1 of same quality like henry. then we cld start to kick out the likes of kuyt,crouch,vorro which wld end this drippy era at LFC. once we get top noch support for torres we can start to stregnthen our wings with gessa out wide nd another signing out wide with babel in contension aswell-happy days. i think we wld be second this season myself if we had agger, he gets som goals nd also is quality defender. think, were not that farfrom the top now after lossong 3-0. i thin with agger games like borro away wld hav been wins

New signings:Samuel Eto’O £20m,David Silva £15m,Robinho £20m,Rafinha £8.5m & Wayne Bridge £8m = £63.5m. Plus bring in youngsters: Insua,Bruna & Nemeth. Mark my words “we wil then be champions 4 d next 5 years @least!
i dnt think rafa will buy any1 big this year, i hear he’s getin oscar trejo,looking at odemwingie,obviously rafina nd others on about the same level. i want eto or villa as much as the next person but rafa wnt do tht this year nd if he does he will only get maybe one 15-20 mil player which i feel should be sergio aguero he is absolute bril nd is young nd his star possition is behind the striker and out wide so push gerrad back to centre. thn we can sell alonso and trade him for possibly eto. we 2million percent need a left winger so we can shift babel out right finaly. wayne bridge is shite so no way hosey, we need som1 foreign as the only left backs we hav r crap. i suggest we keep aurellio. also another rumour goin about is tht we might get bentley for 12 mil which wld be gd but id rather see babel out there nd hav david silva on the left. peace out
