Villa monitor Pennant situation
Published by fiz on September 25, 2008
Aston Villa are considering a £6million bid for out-of-favour Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant.
According to The Birmingham Mail, Martin O’Neill is keen to sign the inconsistent winger who has found himself down the pecking order at Anfield.
The 25-year-old, who has yet to start a game for the Reds in the league, made full use of the opportunity given to him in yesterday’s Carling Cup win over Crewe.

With Kuyt continuing to labour and not offer much on the right of our midfield I am concerned that Pennant isn’t getting a look in for Liverpool.
He might not be world class but he will at least offer us some pace and balance to the midfield and his crossing is 10 times better tha Dirks.
Come on rafa give him a chance.
Pennant can be a world class player if the coach have real trust in him, his good on the ball, have the right tricks and don’t make too much, just remember the performance of Athen 2007, he was great against AC Milan and can be even better if given his chance to do the things right..
Kuyt should be sometimes substituted like Rapha do on the left when he plays the great Ryan Babel who explode when he comes on the pitch…
Pennant can also do so, just give this dude the chance to express his talent
