Villa Hints At Valencia Exit

Published by fiz on March 17, 2008

David Villa or known to Valencia fans as El Gua?e has hinted he may move to a foreign club at the end of the season.

It is reported that Villa is frustrated that Valencia hasn’t been performing up to their potential. He felt that the Los Che should be challenging Real Madrid and Barcelona for the title. Instead, they find themselves on 10th place instead.

He has been linked with almost every top side in Europe, with Liverpool and Chelsea as the likely destination.

Villa told Goal: “I have always listened when there have been offers and I am still determined to do what is best for my career, but of course with the consent of the club as I have a contract.

“I have to think about my future and that is what I am going to do. I will listen to anything, like I always have.”

David Villa is considered as one of the world’s best striker and is renowned for his shooting accuracy in front of goal. He has 10 goals to his name this season.

how much would Villa go for though?

I’ve heard some incredible amounts of money being mentioned… £40m+ !!

That’s the worry, his price. I’d get him for a maximum of £30million; anything else is too high.

But an attack of Babel, Torres and Villa with Gerrard behind would be immense. I think if we signed him we’d finally have a first-team to rival anyone in the league…

Him (£30m), Martins (£10m), Bentley (£10m), Rafinha (£5m) and Bridge (£5m) would be my targets for the summer. We’d need to recoup a lot from player sales though, but if we did get them we’d have a brilliant squad. It’s all dreaming though…

Lets be honest - we will not be able to afford him. If it’s a British club then he’ll go to Chelski or Spurs.
