Torres: “Too much pressure at Madrid”
Record-signing, Fernando Torres, declared to FourFourTwo Magazine, that he is relishing in the freedom given to him by his Spanish manager in Rafa Benitez.
The pressure he used to feel whilst at his previous club Atletico Madrid was simply too much for his young shoulders to carry.
The exciting Spanish international left his boyhood club for a switch to England and has quickly become a firm favourite with the Anfield fathful after an impressive start which has seen the Reds keeping tabs on the big-boys in the Premiership.
“Any team has to be built on collective responsibility,” told Torres.
“At Atletico I had too much pressure, I had to shoulder all the responsibility.
“At Liverpool I see a different environment. I see a club, a team.
“I don’t have that stress now. It’s a relief playing for Liverpool because in any game you feel any number of your team-mates can step forward and win the game.”
