Torres set to miss Pompey game

Fernando Torres will miss Liverpool’s Premier League encounter against Portsmouth.

Torres is nursing a hamstring injury and Rafael Benitez has made it clear that he will not rush Torres for the Wednesday’s game.

However, Rafa is hoping the striker will be fit for Saturday’s trip to White Hart Lane.

“Fernando is very close,” Rafa told the offish site.

“Maybe he’ll be okay for the weekend, but he cannot play tomorrow. “We will see how he is over the next two or three days and then make a decision for Saturday.
