Spurs ready to Kop Crouchy?

According to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague, Tottenham Hotspur have enetered the race to capture beanpole striker Peter Crouch in a daring summer raid.

Arsenal and Pompey have both been reported to be showing interest in the England international star, with the latter having multiple bids rejected already during the current transfer window.

“I can confirm that there is a new contender for the signature of the Liverpool striker: Tottenham Hotspur.” he published on his website earlier today.

“Spurs have approached Liverpool for the player who they see as someone who can occupy the role of Dimitar Berbatov, who they expect will depart before the beginning of the season.

“The north London club are therefore on the lookout for a striker who can provide similar attacking options to the Bulgarian.” he added.
