Spaniard commited to Liverpool

Xabi Alonso insists, that he wants to stay at Liverpool. The renowned international footballer has been linked with a move back to his native Spain with Barcelona and Real Madrid rumoured to be interested in the defensive midfielder.

There were also speculation on him being involved in an exchange deal that will bring Gareth Barry over.

However, Alonso said: ‘My future is with Liverpool because I signed a contract. There are many rumours but I do not pay attention to them.
