Rush urges Benitez to sign Villa

Liverpool goalscoring legend Ian Rush has urged Liverpool to sign David Villa. David Villa and Fernando Torres look to have formed a lethal partnership at the Euro 2008 and it would be awesome to have both of them playing side by side at Liverpool next season.

“There’s obviously the financial side of things, but I’d love to see David Villa at Liverpool along with Fernando Torres,” said Rush.

“They combine very well for Spain, they’ve got a good understanding of each other and in an ideal world you’d love to see Villa partner Torres at Anfield as he does for Spain.”
