Royals shock Reds (Goals)

Royals shock Reds (Goals) thumbnail

Liverpool unbeaten start to the league came to an end against a Reading side which worked really hard throughout the whole game. Torres could have given Liverpool an early lead in the 7th minute but was denied by Reading’s goalkeeper. Reading broke the deadlock on the 16th minute when Murty was allegedly brought down by Carragher in the penalty box. The replays clearly showed that the Referee had made a poor decision. Hunt calmly slots the ball home. It took Liverpool less than 10 minutes to equalize and it was none other than Steven Gerrard. Reading went ahead again in the 59th minute when Kevin Doyle headed in a freekick with the slightest of touches. Reading puts everything beyond doubt when James Harper netted home the third goal of the evening. A brilliant counter-attack from Reading.
