Riise with his new kit

John Arne Riise, pictured with his new kit, is ready for the new challenge in his footballing career. He has completed his £4million move to Italian side Roma.

“I wanted a new experience and to get to know a new type of football,”said Riise.

The Norwegian can’t wait to link up with several Roma players in which he classify as World-class players.

“Roma have experienced players. I know Ludovic Giuly from my time at Monaco, where we played together, and Francesco Totti is a phenomenon.

“Then there’s Daniele De Rossi, who is one of the best midfielders in Europe and who is growing into a truly great player.”
