Reds target Villa wants Valencia stay

Liverpool target David Villa will remain with Valencia according to the Spanish sports daily AS. The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to Chelsea and Liverpool after a string of brilliant performances in Euro2008.

Villa insists that he’ll still be a Valencia player next season and in many years to come.

Villa told Spanish sports daily AS, “I am happy here and I hope to continue for many years. I hope I can continue for many years, including more than I have signed for”

“I have always felt the love of the fans and it is something that fills me with pride.I’m under contract and I’m very happy at Valencia,” he added.
