Reds legend joins fans’ takeover bid

The Mirror reports that former Liverpool legend John Barnes has joined in support of the proposed fans’ takeover at Anfield, ShareLFC.

“I’ve been saddened by what’s been happening in the boardroom lately, and I think it’s time for things to change. Liverpool Football Club is part of the community, and it’s time our magnificent supporters had a say in how the club is run.” said Barnes.

“That’s why I’m delighted to back ShareLiverpoolFC. If democratic ownership works for clubs like Barcelona and Bayern Munich, why can’t it work here?” he added.
