Rafa in queue for £17million Brazilian
Published by Redneck on February 18, 2008
Rafa Benitez is currently leading the chase for Palermo’s Brazilian strike-sensation Amauri after Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini conceded defeat in keeping the highly-rated 27-year-old at the Stadio Renzo Barbera.
“I will not be able to keep Amauri here, he is worth €25 million and other clubs offer him three times his current wages.” conceded Zamparini.
“Whoever comes first with an offer will get him.”
Rafa Benitez wont be having it all his own way as the Chavs, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Catalan giants Barcelona are all reported to be interested in the £17million hitman who has hit the back of the net nine times in twenty-one Serie A appearances this season.
As seen below, Amauri (full name Amauri Carvalho de Oliveira) has a keen eye for goal.

Great, another striker with a goal per game average of a donkey! 9 goals in 21 games is nothing to shout about and hardly worth £17million. Surely its time we looked at finding an Adriano/Ronaldo (Brazilian)/peak time Shevchenko/Weah
