Preview: Man Utd vs Liverpool
With what is arguably the most difficult run of 5 games we have been on since the arrival of Rafael Benitez, the question is, what do we do team wise, and what results can we expect?
First off, Manchester United, we expect Rafa to play his strongest team, with a week until we play again, we know that the players can give it their all for 90 minutes, and unless injury, there will be no excuses for resting Torres, Gerrard and co. If we field our strongest team who give it their all, I think we need not ask any more than that, but overall I am going to need to say a 1-1 draw would seem the most likely result here.
The Merseyside derby, hate to be very optimistic, but I think if we win here, we will finish fourth, and I really think Rafa will maybe go without Gerrard, and only bring Torres on in an emergency here, seeing as this is the game that is, to be honest of least importance here. Looking at it if we do play that way, I see a 2-0 Reds win on the cards
Champions League first leg at the Emirates stadium will be the most important game, 1st choice team hitting on the counter, as long as the defence can hold firm, I think we could possibly get away with a sneaky draw
Arsenal away (again) in the league is where we have an advantage, assuming we beat Everton at Anfield, we will be able to play a second-string side, whereas Arsenal, still chasing the title, cannot afford to do that. We will lose here 1-0, but the advantage will show in the second leg of the Champions League
This is where the advantage shows, a squad of fit players that are ready to run all day, I think that we should take advantage of our advantage, and get a 2-0 win.
