Parry Calls for Quick Resolution to G&H Spat
Published by fowlergod9 on March 30, 2008
Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry calls for a quick resolution to the uncertainty over the future ownership of our club.
Parry does not believe that this uncertainty will lead to star players leaving the Merseyside giants anytime soon.
“My plea is that something happens this week, there is a need for a degree of urgency but it is urgent to get it right, not urgent to come up with the wrong solution.
“To move onwards and upwards we need a resolution but I don’t think this is going to have a direct bearing on the players, that is pretty unlikely.” said Parry.
“It is certainly not conducive to long-term planning and managing the club. Over time, if we fail to deliver and fail to perform, that is when star players become dissatisfied but that is not an immediate fear from where I sit.” he added.
The future ownership of Liverpool FC has recently been thrown up in the air after co-owner George Gillet revealed in an interview on Friday that his relationship with his partner Tom Hicks have almost completely broken down.
Gillett recently spoke out of the death threats he has recieved from some disgruntled LFC fans to prevent him from selling his shares to Hicks, giving him a majority stakeholding in the club.
