Pennant on the chopping block?
Published by fiz on July 13, 2008
Jermaine Pennant could be on his way out of Anfield after The Daily Mail reported that Paul Ince is willing to take the winger to Ewood Park.
The inconsistent winger has failed to impress following his £6.7 million from Birmingham. It’s believed that Ince is looking for a replacement for the ‘unsettled’ David Bentley and Jermaine Pennant fits the bill.
With Rafa Benitez likely to make several new purchases during the transfer window, it is increasingly likely that he will rid himself of under-performing star such as Pennant.

i don’t know what kind of calculations these websites are doing but i did mine and right now we have 3i million pounds to purchase new buys that is without the 6-8 million selling of carson to wba or stoke that could rise to 37-39 million. we need 18 for barry and around 20 for robbie keane.. and we need another winger in my opinion silva would be perfect at 15 million so sell xabi alonso although we lost a potential buyer in juventus.. we should move quicker than this arsenal are already tracking gareth barry
