‘Pass Master’ set to leave Liverpool?
According to reports in The Mirror and Telegraph, it appears that both Liverpool and Juventus have reached an agreement of £16 million for Xabi Alonso. It’s believed that Alonso’s agent Inaki Ibanez was in Italy for 5 hours, to negotiate on behalf of his client.
Juventus has earlier admitted that they are interested in signing Liverpool’s midfielder, Xabi Alonso.
Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli said: “We can’t deny our interest. But it’s important we get value for money. Managing director Jean-Claude Blanc is working on this and on other possibilities.”
Alonso has reassured that he’d like to stay at Anfield but it looks like Benitez is going to use the money from the transfer to bring Gareth Barry to Liverpool.
