Speculation suggest a £10million bid could be enough to tempt Manchester City to part company with England starlet Michael Johnson, with Benitez frequently rumoured to be lining-up a summer swoop for the want-away midfielder.

Johnson recently expressed his desire to move away from Eastlands should the managerial situation not be resolved before the start of pre-season.
