Lucas See’s Red as Mascherano’s Argentina Through To Final

Published by JMitchell on August 19, 2008

Liverpool’s Javier Mascherano’s Argentina saw of Brazil in style as they won 3-0 to go through to the final in the Olympic Games. Aguero bagged two quick goals at the start of the second half and Riquelme scored from a penalty later on to seal the win for Argentina.

Liverpool’s Brazilian Lucas Leiva will now make his way back to Liverpool and not take part in Friday’s 3rd place play off as the young Brazilian was sent off for taking down team-mate Mascherano late on. Mascherano was then taken down moments later again by Thiago Neves who also saw red for Brazil.

Mascherano will now take part in the final this Saturday who are going to play Nigeria after they beat Belgium 4-1.

Lucas should be ashamed of himself for that red card he got. i am not talking about brazil’s game. it was really low. i felt really disgusted to see him trip Macherano from behind.
