Liverpool put £2m price tag on Guthrie
It is believed that Liverpool has put a price-tag of £2million on Danny Guthrie. Bolton gaffer, Gary Megson, is looking to secure a permanent deal for on loan midfielder Danny Guthrie.
The young midfielder has enjoyed his season on loan at the Reebok and has said that he would like to make the move a permanent one.
“In an ideal world I’d like to stay here, but nothing’s ever as simple as that,” he said.
“A lot of it is not down to me but the people above me. I’ll start thinking about my future when the end of the season comes.
“I haven’t really given it a lot of thought because everything at the moment is focused on keeping Bolton up.”
Guthrie, who’s first-team chances at Anfield have been somewhat limited, with just seven first-team appearances in total, looks all-set to make the move a permanent one, but Liverpool are understood to only wanting to do business come the end of the season.
“This is all new to me,” he told Wanderers TV. “A couple of the lads have been here before and I can always turn to them if I need to.
“Nobody wants to be in the situation we are in, but to go through it will definitely improve me as a player, just being under a different kind of pressure.”
