Published by fiz on June 9, 2008

Steve Finnan future at Anfield has been in doubt after the arrival of new signing Phillip Degen. And with Alvaro Arbeloa being as versatile as ever, it could signal the end of his Liverpool career.

Several reports are saying that Martin O’Neill is preparing a ?2million swoop for the right back. O’Neill is desperate to replace Olof Mellberg who has departed to Juventus. Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is also understood to be considering bring the former player back to Craven Cottage.

His recent form has taken a dip but still, Finnan has been a great servant to the club and has been dubbed ‘Mr Reliabily’ and ‘Mr Consistent’ .
