Liverpool make £12million bid for Winger?

It was reported in The People earlier today that Liverpool will be submitting a £12million bid for Blackburn’s David Bentley. Benitez has been a long fan of the English winger but Blackburn is unwilling to sell their prized asset.

However, Liverpool’s bid of £12million are likely to be rejected as Blackburn would want at least £15million for unsettled Bentley, who has refused to sign a new deal at the club.

Despite all the interest from other clubs, Hughes is confident of keeping his prized asset at Ewood Park.
