Liverpool kept the pressure on our rivals with a 2-1 victory over Reading at Anfield earlier today.
True to his word, Rafa Benitez pulled out the big guns for the clash as the Reds look to seal the all-important fourth-spot in the league, but they didn’t have it all their own way when within 5 minutes Marek Matejovsky fired Reading into a shock lead with a stunning strike.
The lead lasted for about 15 minutes until Javier Mascherano levelled the scores with a beastly strike, followed shortly after the restart with a perfectly times header from golden boy Fernando Torres.
