LFC Youth stun Gooners with tight victory
Liverpool’s Youth Team, pictured celebrating last season’s victory in the final at Castle Greyskull, booked a place in the 5th round of the FA Youth Cup after a stunning performance to defeat Arsenal at Anfield tonight.
Youth Captain, Steven Irwin, took the ball deep into Arsenal territory to deliver his cross, only to see it deflect of an Arsenal-arm and into the back of the net, scoring the only goal of the game.
Liverpool went on to dominate for much of the game, despite being out-passed by a well-drilled Arsenal outfit.
Despite playing the final ten minutes a man-down, Arsenal pressed for an equaliser, only to be denied by a desperate block by defensive marksman Martin Kelly.
So the dream of retaining the FA Youth Cup lives on! Congratulations lads!

Part of me is telling that this lads will probably be sold in times to come. However another part of me is saying that these group of lads are really talented. 2 Winning FA Cup in a row. Lets hope it’s the latter.
Yeah theres a handful that I think may break through within 2-3 years, majority though will no doubt move on in search of regular first-team action.
