Left-Back To Consider Future
March 25, 2008 · By Redneck · Jump to comments
Norwegian left-back John Arne Riise has admitted that he is unhappy with life at Anfield and will be considering his future during the forthcoming summer months.
“I am used to playing in 80 per cent of all the games, but if I don’t get to play as much as I want to I have to make a choice this summer as to whether I should stay or not.
“I just have to wait and see what will happen.
“Maybe Rafa will offer me a new contract, maybe not. It’s frustrating not knowing if you are going to play the next game or not.” he added.

..If to be fair, I never heard from him similar and always believed, that he rather patiently concerns to Rafa’s choice and rotation policy
Aurellio played well against Manure, Arbeloa got walked all over… If I were Riise be unhappy that Aurellio seems to be Rafa’s no1 leftback and that Riise has seen has game time evaporate…
I miss screeming RIISE’s name out during games, but that’s up to Riise to train hard enough to perform at his old level…
Perhaps Riise’s days are numbered, which is a shame for me…
I suppose Rafa would have his plans about how we can solve our wing/ fullback deficencies…
In Rafa we trust…
Riise’s days have always been out numbered considering the amount of left backs Rafa has purchased and tried out - unfortunately only Fabio Aurellio seems to be good enough at this moment in time, but even he has weaknesses. Riise’s shooting and crossing has been poor for a few seasons and he definately looks on the heavy side.
