Lee sees room for improvement

Anfield favorite Sammy Lee admitted that the side still have plenty of room for improvement after the Reds beat Sunderland 1-0 in their Premier League opener on Saturday.
The assistant manager believes the players will improve significantly as long as they keep working hard on the training ground.
“It’s always nice to get off the season underway with a win,” he told Liverpoolfc.tv.
“I think we are fully aware of the fact we didn’t play to our best but the important thing is to get off to a good start with three points away from home.
“Winning isn’t all that matters but it’s important that you start the season well and finish it well. We need to improve in all areas and that’s what we are about anyway; making sure we improve on a daily basis.
“We know we aren’t firing on all cylinders just yet but it was just nice to get off to a win, particularly away from home.
“We all want to hit the ground running and you can do no better than to get off to a win. But with Liverpool being Liverpool we are perfectionists. We are never happy whether it’s 1-0, 3-0, 4-0 and we’ll certainly be looking to improve in the coming days.”
