Kop-TV Preview: Liverpool vs Bolton thumbnail

Bolton travel to Anfield with a surprisingly unbeaten streak of 5 games. Gary Megson’s side steal all 3 points from last weekend encounter with Man Utd. There’s no doubt that they will come here to get a win instead of playing for a draw.

Couple of Liverpool key players are still unavailable. Alonso, Pennant and Agger are still out on injury. Agger should be ready enough for the big game against Man Utd. In addition, Hyypia has been in outstanding form and I don’t see why the need to rush the Dane back into the game. Kevin Nolan and Nicky Hunt are set to miss this tie after getting a fifth yellow card last weekend. Hence, they will be serving a 1 match suspension. Liverpool loanee, Danny Guthrie will not play a part against his parent club.

A pity Xabi Alonso isn’t fit enough for this game, or he could have the chance to have a face-off with his younger brother, Mikel, who is on loan at Bolton now. Mikel hasn’t been getting much games recently under Megson, who has chosen Guthrie instead for most of the games.

It’s a big game seeing that if we win this, we could leap over the Mancs and be in a good position for next week cruncher.
