Keita’s agent plays down Liverpool link

Various sources has linked Sevilla’s midfielder Seydou Keita with a move to Liverpool. The Mali international has had a good season and it’s no surprised that he’s been linked with a move to several top clubs in Europe.

However according to Setanta Sports, the player’s agent Pascal Boisseau dismissed the speculation as “absolute rubbish.

“It’s absolutely rubbish.” said the agent when asked about the rumour.

“The player is happy at Sevilla, focused on helping them to try and qualify for the Champions League.

“We will discuss with Sevilla when the season is over.”

Liverpool chief scout Eduardo Macia also dismissed the rumours.

“Keita is not our objective because we are working now on a list of three players for this position, but he is not part of it,” Macia told Spanish reporters.

“I mean that he is a tremendous player, but he is not part of our plans.”
