Juventus publicly declares interest in Alonso

Juventus has admitted that they are interested in signing Liverpool’s midfielder, Xabi Alonso. After weeks of speculation linking Alonso with the Italian side, it looks like the rumour is true after all.

Juventus’s director Alessio Secco admits that they’re looking on a possibility to sign Alonso after missing out on Flamini. However, he believes that Alonso would be a better signing.

Secco told Tuttusport: “Xabi is better than Flamini.

“He’s (Flamini) a good player, but with the salary he wanted he would have unbalanced our situation.

“The Spaniard, instead, has characteristics that are closer to what we want.”
