Juve joins race for £12million midfielder

The Daily Telegraph are reporting that Serie A giants Juventus are joining the supposed ‘race’ to sign Reds midfielder Xabi Alonso during the summer transfer window.

After being linked with a host of Spanish La Liga teams after dropping down the pecking order under Rafa’s rule, it was widely expected that the Spaniard would lead the mass exodus that is expected at Anfield this summer.

However the Spaniard is defiant and claims that he will remain at Liverpool for next season at least, but a tabled offer of £12million could be enough to tempt Rafa to part company with his compatriot.
