Itandje has no regrets

Pepe Reina’s understudy, Charles Itandje, who signed from French side Lens in the summer, gave a promising account of himself last night in the disappointing 2-0 Carling Cup defeat to the Chavs.
“The fact I don’t play is not easy to experience, the most frustrating thing is to wait and never know when you will play.” said the former Lens sticksman.
“But I knew that when I signed here. I have to be patient.
After only playing his third game since his move to England, Charles’ initial worries were adapting to life in a foreign country.
“The first step was to adapt to a new country, a new language and a new league.
“Of course, at a certain time, if you don’t play, you have to ask yourself the right questions, but it is not topical.
“A lot of people advised me against coming to Liverpool, saying I will never play.
“Do I have any regrets? I would be mad. There are people unemployed, and I am at Liverpool. I am enjoying every minute I get.” he enthused.
