Guthrie set to leave Liverpool

Danny Guthrie will be joining Kevin Keegan’s Newcastle after the ‘barcodes’ lined up an undisclosed offer for the midfielder according to EatSleepSport.

Having seen his first team opportunities limited at Anfield, Guthrie has been linked with a move to several Premier League clubs such as Fulham, Bolton, Charlton and Newcastle.

Guthrie has had a good season at the Reebok but with Steven Gerrard, Xabi Alonso, Javier Mascherano and Lucas all ahead of Guthrie in the pecking order for a place in the Liverpool midfield, the youngster might have to leave to get his regular fix of football.
