Gerrard: “It’s all about bragging rights”

Steven Gerrard couldn’t hide his delight after the 1-0 victory over bitter rivals Everton at Anfield yesterday with Fernando Torres claiming the only goal of the game after cooly slotting home after just six minutes.

“It was a big win for us,” Beamed a happy Gerrard.

“Derby games are all about bragging rights and that’s why our fans were still singing well after the final whistle. We’ve got tricky games to go, though. We go to Arsenal next and that’s why it was so important to get the points today.” added the captain.
