Gerrard Doubtful for Chav Clash

Rafa Benitez admitted that Steven Gerrard could miss our 1st-leg clash against the Chavs this Tuesday evening as he struggles with a neck injury he picked up against Blackburn Rovers last week.

“I was talking with the physios today (Saturday) and he is improving but it is still too soon.” said the Spaniard.

“You always have to be careful with the neck - he has been scoring a lot of goals with his head.” he added.
