Redknapp ready to offer Crouch huge pay-rise
Peter Crouch seems set to leave Rafael Benitez’s revolution after Pompey boss, Harry Redknapp, is willing to offer Peter Crouch a prodigious raise in salary to join Portsmouth, worth around £4 million-a-year.
Harry Redknapp is willing to offer Liverpool around £8 million for the lanky striker in order to bring him to Fratton Park.
However, Newcastle, Man City and Middlesbrough are apparently extremely keen in signing the England international as well.
Crouch has not been used in many of Rafael Benitez’s line-ups due to the superb form of Spanish marksman Fernando Torres.
Crouch has only appeared in nine Liverpool games this season, and was absent during the squads traditional lap of honor at the last game of the season at Anfield.
