Fowler back in Prem
Robbie ‘God’ Fowler will once more be in the Premier League, scoring goals and taunting Manchester United no doubt.
Fowler spent last season in Cardiff, but rejected their offer of a one year extension. He’s been training with Blackburn for the last five weeks, and has signed a 6 month pay-as-you-play deal for Paul Ince’s squad.
Ince had this to say about the 33 year old Liverpool legend: “Robbie hasn’t played a competitive game since last October, so he has been out for a long time.
“But he has done well in training and some of the stuff he has done on the training pitch has been mind-blowing.
“There is no doubt that he has still got it. He is a Premier League goalscorer and he always will be.
“The only issue is getting his sharpness back.”
Fowler has managed only 16 starts in the last two seasons, but Ince hopes he can recover fitness enough to appear as a late impact substitution.
