Four-midable Reds

Liverpool starts the month in style and makes it 5 wins in 5 games so far. It was a good performance from the whole squad today even though we could’ve win by more. In addition the skipper scored yet another goal today, adding to his tally of 8 goals this season.

Bolton didn’t pose much of a threat and when they got one, they fumbled it. Liverpool were trying to get an early goal an get broke the deadlock on the 16th minute. Sami Hyypia headed in a well taken free kick from Steven Gerrard. Hyypia has been immense so far, apart from his shaky start. Torres’s goal has class written all over it. Gerrard managed to slot in a perfect pass and Torres’s finishing was just magnificent. Gerrard’s goalscoring run continue when he converted the spot kick. And not forgetting, our super-sub, Babel getting on the scoresheet once again after being brought in the 2nd half.

We could’ve won by a bigger margin. Despite saying that, I’m still pleased with the result and the overall performance. It seems like Riise was trying too hard just to get a goal. I’m sure the fans expects much more than that. Torres is doing what he’s paid to do. England’s failure to qualify may have done something to Gerrard. His passings and assists is as deadly as ever. And he’s been getting a fair share of goals too.

We move up to 3rd place with a game in hand. It’s all looking good so far and we just need to keep the consistency going.
