Fergy: “Rafa’s record speaks for itself”
Man Ure manager, Alex Ferguson (Sir? Yeah right), has spoken publicly regarding the criticism that has been flying around the media over recent months about our legendary manager, Rafael Benitez.
“I can never understand where criticism comes from, Rafa has a great record but all of a sudden you read about a supposed dispute between Rafael Benitez and the directors.” said the fiery Scot.
“Other people take more of an interest in Liverpool than me but there is obviously some undercurrent of a dispute running somewhere along the line, which is strange considering his record.”
“He’s won the European Cup and he’s won the FA Cup. I think, with Rafa’s record, it will be disappointing for him.” he added.
Alex went on further, previewing the intensity of Sunday’s crunch battle at Anfield.
“No matter what position either club is in, it is always a big game, and each season it’s the game that I look forward to. It encapsulates everything in British football: the passion of the fans, the ability of the footballers, the competition, the history of the two clubs. It’s terrific, so hopefully we can have another good game.”
