Ex-Arsenal Player on Benitez’s Shortlist?
March 28, 2008 · By fowlergod9 · Jump to comments
Recent reports from Spain speculate that Benitez may swoop in for the former Arsenal winger Jose Antonio Reyes as he attempts to solve his left wing problem.
Reyes has failed to establish himself in the Atletico side after transferring from Arsenal for £8million.
He is also currently on a four-year contract with Atletico Madrid.
Despite claiming of homesickness during his two years at Arsenal, the former Spanish international, valued at £5million by his club, seems eager to return to England after a two year absence.
Newcastle United and Man City appear to be interested in the player as well.

If Newcastle get him, he will be another Albert Luque. If we get him - will he be the new Harry Kewell?
It’s a shame that a talented player like Kewell has had many injuries as well as inconsistent performance. Reyes for Liverpool is a risk I beleive worth taking. Lets not forget if it wasn’t for Reyes scoring a few goals at the end of 2007 season, David Beckham would have won sweet FA at Real Madrid.
