Dutch midfielder ends Anfield speculation

Rafael van der Vaat, has ended recent speculation linking him with a move to Anfield by signing for La Liga giants Real Madrid reported to be worth around £7million.

Radio Cadena Ser reported earlier today: “Spanish champions Real Madrid have signed Dutch international midfielder Rafael van der Vaart from Bundesliga side Hamburg for nine million euros”

The 25-year-old Dutch International was under constant speculation in recent weeks, with many people saying he was the solution to our width problems.

He will be officially unveiled in a Real Madrid shirt this coming Monday.
