Degen injured …. again
Published by fiz on November 14, 2008
Philipp Degen nightmare injury jinx seems to have struck again after picking up a metatarsal injury against Tottenham in midweek.
The Swiss will be out for up to four weeks after picking up the injury in Wednesday’s 4-2 Carling Cup loss to Tottenham.
“It’s a pity for Philipp because he hasn’t had much luck with injuries so far, but hopefully he can come back from this problem quickly,” Benitez told the offish site.
“It’s always a problem when you have two players for a position and one of them gets injured, and even more of a problem when the other player is suspended for a game - like Alvaro is this weekend.
“But we have options within the squad and we’ll have to decide what we want to do for the game at Bolton.”
Degen, whose Liverpool career has been plagued by injury, has only played 1 game since his move from Borussia Dortmund.
