Crouchy To Buy Himself?
England and Liverpool striker Peter Crouch is set to become the first big name player to buy himself out of his contract with nearly two years still to run.
With former England manager Sven Goran Eriksson rumored to be interested, Crouchy seems ready to buy himself out of his contract because of a lack of first team opportunities whilst under Rafa’s rule.
Crouch was last year’s top scorer with 18 goals and has recently ignored Rafael Benitez’s attempt to open up contract negotiations as the Spaniardis looking to tie him down to Anfield with a 5-year deal.
The giant striker has found himself to be a bit-part player in this year’s Liverpool team as record signing Fernando Torres has scored 25 goals since arriving on Merseyside, moreover, Benitez’s preference to play with one forward has further hampered Crouch’s role at the club.
