Crouch 2 days away from Pompey

The Mirror are reporting that manager Harry Redknapp will bring Peter Crouch to Portsmouth within the next two days. Crouch is keen to reinvigorate his England career, and Liverpool are keen to fund future transfers with the reported £8 million fee they will receive for the lanky striker.

Crouch has fallen out of favor in Liverpool, struggling to get minutes behind Fernando Torres in Rafa Benitez’s new lone-striker formation. A starting position and £60,000 a week will help ease the pain of leaving the club that took a chance on him two years ago. He managed 5 Premier League goals in 21 appearances for the Reds last season.
