Crewe: No contact with Liverpool at all

The Railwaymen’s coach Steve Holland has dismissed rumours that Liverpool are close to signing Crewe starlet Max Clayton for £1.5million.

It is thought that 14-year-old Max Clayton could be the target of the several Premier League giants including Liverpool.

But Holland told BBC Radio Stoke: “There’s been no official contact, it is all just speculation.

“We’ve become used to this sort of thing. The time for us to worry would be when big clubs aren’t interested.”
