Cisse longs for Anfield return
The man known for his eye-catching hairstyles would like to come back to play in the Premier League again. His spell at Anfield was pretty much an unfortunate one as he was very much out of action for several months.
“Of course I would like to come back to the Premier League. For the moment I play for Marseille and I have to give 100 per cent. Unfortunately, I broke my leg when I was there and did not have the chance to prove myself,” he added of his Anfield career.
He was sold for £6m to Marseille but hasn’t fully settled. He still hopes that the Premier League teams would give him another chance to prove himself.
“I must confess I miss England because it was really special to play for Liverpool,” said the France international, whose time in the Premier League was blighted by injuries.
“You never know,” the striker continued when asked if he saw himself ever wearing the red of Liverpool again. “Things happen so fast and football is unpredictable. I’m not unhappy with Rafa. I just respect his choice. It was his decision (to sell me) and I have to respect that.” Cissé was part of the Marseille squad that won at Anfield in the Champions League earlier this season.”
