Carragher set for milestone

Jamie Carragher is eagerly awaiting his 534th appearance for the club on Wednesday evening as PSV Eindhoven visit Anfield.

The Scouser set to draw level with 10th placed Billy Liddell, who played 534 games for Liverpool.

He may be a long way behind Ian Callaghan, who has 857 Liverpool appearances, in the all-time list, but Carragher is close to an impressive milestone.

The Bootle-born youngster played his first game at Middlesbrough on January 8, 197.9
