Jamie Carragher spoke of his delight after the fantastic 2-1 victory of rivals United at Anfield yesterday afternoon declaring we can beat anyone who stands in front of us.

“It gives us belief and confidence because we’ve beaten the best team in Europe,” he told journalists after the game had ended.

“It gives us the belief that we can beat anyone in the league.

“We hope we can now push on for the rest of the season. It should spur us on, because we’ve not been playing too well.

“That is the best we’ve played.” he enthused.
