Carra wary of new-look Man City

Published by Zac Lee Rigg on September 3, 2008

Manchester City are the story of the last couple days. ADUG have bought out the club from controversial figure Dr Thaksin Shinawatr and immediately went on a bidding spree.

The Arabian businessman is planning a bid for Fernando Torres, Cristiano Ronaldo and Cesc Fabregas next season having succeeded in landing the Robinho.

Jamie Carragher, an avid scholar of all things football, found himself watching the events unfold.

“I was watching the transfer news up until 12am to see what was going on. It was an amazing day,” the vice-captain told Liverpoolfc.tv.

“It’s like an Abramovic-type thing there, you know. To come in and break the British transfer record in one day is pretty amazing. If they’ve got that type of wealth and they’ve got players like Robinho, one of the best players in the world, then it’s something you have to think about.”
