Brazilian to be auctioned off?
Published by Redneck on March 4, 2008
Palermo are trying to start a fresh bidding war for prized-strike-sensation Amauri by slapping a £19million price-tag on the Brazilian’s head, not literally that would be ludicrous - but you get the picture.
Rafa Benitez is reportedly interested in the 27-year-old amongst a host of other European elite clubs as Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini stares defeat in the face in keeping the striker at his club, who has hit the back of the net 15 times in 34 games for the Serie A outfit.
“A Spanish side offered 22million euros, but I refused,” Zamparini told the Italian media.
“For less than 25million euros we will do nothing, but I think an agreement could be close.” he added.
